Comment Love With CommentLuv

No Matter why you blog, you want backlinks to it, and there aren’t any easy work free ways to get them. The work really isn’t that hard though. If you want to become a backlink superstar and dramatically increase the popularity of your blog you need to do a couple of things.
- Find Blogs that will provide backlinks to your site. I recommend using Fast Blog Finder. you can search for blogs by keywords and it shows important information like page rank and nofollow status. Don’t spam high ranking nofollow sites. First it won’t do any good, secondly you could screw it up for the rest of us, lastly we will know who you are and where your site is. If some blogger revokes their generosity we will go looking for who screwed us, and we are a vindictive lot.
- Comment regularly on popular logs in your niche. I am not talking about “Hi, this was great.”This is sometimes appropriate and acceptable, but don’t make a habit of it. Read the post and comment on the content.
- Get to know other bloggers using the CommentLuv plugin for WordPress who have removed the nofollow tags. Comment on their blogs to develop deep links to yours and reciprocate by installing the plugin yourself.
- Remove the nofollow tags from your blog. I prefer NoFollow Free because of the versatility.

I like Comment Luv, but Keyword Luv is also nice. I just found this plug-in the other day and installed it on my sites. I am working on making a list of these keyword luv blogs, if you don’t want to be on it, let me know :)

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
What is the purpose of this listing? What will it be used for? I may consider it.
Also, what is an RSS Feed?
It is partly about letting people know you exist and saying something people want to read and comment on.
Oddly enough I found fast blog finder by first commenting on Dosh Dosh, having my link followed back to this blog, by a guy who blogged on indie music. I commented about a band he featured used my pop culture blog for the CommentLuv slot because I had just posted to it. That link was followed back and commented by a guy blogging about the election. I followed one of his CommentLuv links to another blog, then one from there, commented, had that link followed back, went to that site and he was featuring Fast Blog Finder.
The moral of the story is it isn’t always enough to comment and give backlinks, you should follow up on them too. You might not be able to hit them all or immediately, but if you put some effort into it, you will not only expand your network, but you will find things no search engine will ever just set in your lap.
