11 Top Blogging Tips
March 14, 2009 by Blogboy
I love it when I get the chance to make a list. It sets my thoughts down in some sort of order. Some lists like my shopping list get followed regularly, some less so like my to do list around the house, and some have yet to be started on like the actresses I would like to have sex with list. Other lists aren’t made for me at all, at least not directly, these are the useful lists I get to make for you so enjoy these 11 Best Blogging Tips from around the blogosphere

3) 10 MORE Must Have Twitter Tools
1. HootSuite – Streamlined Twitter account management from one clean, user-friendly interface is yours when you use HootSuite. In addition to being able to manage multiple Twitter accounts and profile from one application, you can also schedule tweets, track clicks to your links (using HootSuite’s ow.ly URL shortening service) and get an entire overview of each Twitter account with easy tab-based navigation.
4) Ten Tips for writing a blog post
1. Make your opinion known
People like blogs, they like blogs because they are written by people and not corporations. People want to know what people think, crazy as it sounds they want to know what you think. Tell them exactly what you think using the least amount of words possible.
2. Link like crazy.
Support your post with links to other web pages that are contextual to your post.
Sorry Darren I couldn’t help but post that second one too…
5) 10 Blogging Tips for 2009 to Make It Your Most Successful Blogging Year Ever
Blogging Tip #2: Use Plugins. Plugins like “relevant posts”, “most popular posts” and “recent posts” make your blog more sticky because they encourage readers to hang around longer. The longer a visitor is on your blog, the better chance you have of converting them into a customer. And that, remember, is the goal when you’re in business.

9) Twenty Usability Tips for Your Blog
8. Link abundantly.
Links increase readership and let others know you’re writing about them. Others can see incoming links in their blogs. Links also enable trackbacks and pingbacks, allowing your content to appear in the comments section of other posts. Blogs are collaborative, linked conversations. The example below shows a trackback. I linked to another blog in my post, and that link appears as an excerpt in the comments section of the original post. The Kramer plugin is helpful for automating trackbacks, and you can use it to show inbound links in the sidebar of your blog. Links also boost your Google rankings, converting your blog into a powerful search engine optimization tool.
10) 27 Tips for Building a Kick-Ass Blog
7. Master the Art of Linkbaiting
There’s a reason why bloggers evetually turn to linkbaiting (the art of writing content that generates links) – when done right (and promoted right) this is the most time-effective method to:
a) promote your blog
b) create good content
c) establish blog authority
d) gain new readersRead the pioneering article on linkbaiting, and make a commitment to write at least one linkbait for your blog this week.
11) 21 Surefire Tips for a Successful Blog Launch
Make sure a link to your RSS feed is available above the fold. Though they won’t help your AdSense revenues much, subscribers are the lifeblood of any successful blog. These devotees are often the ones providing you with regular comments, and are far more likely to be webmasters themselves (meaning more links). It should be obvious to anyone launching a blog, but its amazing how many new bloggers do not make a link to their RSS feed readily available. New bloggers often don’t want to devote space on their site to an RSS feed when they could squeeze in a bit more AdSense. While this thinking is understandable, it is simply wrong. The returns of having subscribers are much more valuable because subscribers drive long-term traffic organically, while an additional AdSense block provides at best a marginal short-term gain.
