French Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization (or SEO for short) is all about getting your website to appear high in the search results with Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engines in order to attract more visitors to your website and generate more sales.
French Search Engine Optimization has the same objective, with a primary focus on google.fr, which is by far the most popular search engine in France.
To optimize a website in French, there are several essential stages and it’s best to complete the first two before completing the third:
- Optimizing the content of your website for search engines.
- Design Optimization – increasing your chances of converting visitors into customers.
- French link building – generating high quality links to your website.
It used to be that search engines just looked at the metatags of a website (the Title, Description and list of Keywords which are ideally unique on every page of your site) and checked how many times the keyword appeared on the page. They now weigh up a lot more factors and also value incoming links to your website more than the actual content of your site.
On-site Search Engine Optimization
Start by choosing popular search terms (a good French Search Engine Optimization company will be able to provide keyword reports saying how many times different keywords and phrases are searched for).
If your site uses a Content Management System (e.g. Drupal, WordPress or Joomla) or a template, then check that your theme or template uses a H1 code for the main title / heading on the website. If you are viewing your site in a browser select ‘View Code’ or ‘View Source’ and find the title on a page.
You can then count the number of times the most important French keyword is used, it should be roughly:
- Once or twice for the H1 title and metatag title.
- Two or three times in the keywords metatag (as part of a phrase, e.g. for this article, you might include “French search engine optimization, French SEO, French link building” in order to use the word “French” 3 times.
- Once or twice in the description and any H2 or H3 titles (sub-headings).
- In about 10-15% of the links between different pages of the website.
- In the URL (web address of the page) e.g. French-search-engine-optimization.html is much better than page123.html.
- As about 3-7% of the text of the web page itself.
For good French grammar, there are often extra words in short phrases, e.g. ‘dans’, ‘par’, ‘a’, etc, however when someone searches in Google, to save time, they’re likely to miss out these words, therefore it may be worth not including these words for the titles on your site, in order to improve the French SEO.
Design Optimization
When visitors arrive at your website, in order to become a customer, they need to want to stay on your site. We call this process ‘Design Optimization’. This is the process of presenting an attractive and professional website to visitors, ensuring that navigation between pages is clear and that any ordering process or contact details are clearly visible, so that visitors don’t have to ask the question ‘What am I meant to do here?’
French link building
The more high quality French links going to your website, the better your French Search Engine Optimization will be and the higher your site will appear with Google.fr and other French search engines. Valuable links can also generate hundreds or even thousands of visits from the links themselves.
The most useful links are from relevant websites with a high PageRank. Google often only counts the first 100 or so link on a page, so there needs to be under 100 links (ideally less). Links from directories and article websites are also useful, however these high PageRank links from relevant, popular mainstream websites will make the most difference to your position in the search results.

Optimizing Your Site Structure For Organic Traffic Potential
It is a good feeling when your website is finally finished and looks fantastic in all major web browsers. You have some initial content already making it fully ready for live viewing. Even your host is all set to go and you just uploaded the last file.
Now the new challenge begins in making your website visible to your target audience. This is very important if you have ads that you depend on or if you have things to sell online. Internet marketing is the way to go and it takes some effort to see some major results. Search engine optimization is one way to become successful if you are up for the learning curve, but before you do that, you should see if your website structure is friendly for search engines to crawl on.
Web designs that have SEO knowledge have a significant advantage because they can develop sites immediately while being optimized at the same time. If you are not sure that your site is optimized, do not worry because there are some basic steps that you can try in optimizing your site so you can drive the organic traffic that you need.
You can begin by creating a site map which serves as a general overview of all your site links. Providing that your website uses an accessible menu system, all you need to do is create another page. If your site is large and complicated, you can plan for a site map by simply drawing a tree diagram on paper or on a basic drawing program.
Adding new content to your site can be a lot of work if your website is poorly structured in terms of coding. To simply that, you can set up an application such as a blog publishing application which allows you to easily add new content to your site.
Online scripts like WordPress are great because they even offer many nice templates to choose from. If your web hosting provider does not allow blogs to be set up, edit your codes in such a way that it is easy to update the key content. This is important for increasing your website ranking.
Once you reached this stage, you can proceed to adding new content to your site by adding new articles and updates that will catch your visitors’ eyes. Content does not have to be text alone even if that is what the search engines target. You should also work on putting attractive images to convince readers to dive deeper into the content. Once your new updates are finished, use an online keyword tool like Google AdSense to see how optimized your content is. You can always make some changes if you need to add more keywords or change existing once.
Organic traffic is good because the traffic goes to you using the search engine as a bridge. Search engines will always be here to stay so you can safely concentrate on other marketing methods while the search engines help you bring traffic to your site.

Search Engine Optimization and the Importance of Web 2.0 Properties
These days Web 2.0 sites are becoming more and more popular. Sure they are great for people that want a place to create a free website or journal, but they have many other uses as well. A lot of people use them for their SEO efforts. For the longest time, Google has seen these Web 2.0 sites as having more authority then your common run of the mill website.
The reason they are seen as more authoritative then other websites is that they have thousands and thousands of pages of content. With all the users creating new content on a day to day basis, Google see’s this site as having a high authority. These sites also have a lot of other sites linking to them, so this only adds to the authority of the site.
Some of the most popular Web 2.0 sites out there that allow free signup and site creation are: Hub Pages, Squidoo, WordPress, Quizilla, Tripod, Vox, Live Journal, Blog.com, Ning, Friendster, Gather, Webspawner, DiaryLand, Terapad, BraveJournal and many more. These sites allow you to create a web page about anything you like and include HTML. Having the option to include HTML, you can create back links to your various websites. This is very useful in creating back links to your site and working on moving up in the ranks for your target keywords.
Since these sites are higher authority than normal websites, back links carry that extra authority. Some people refer to this as “link juice”. It makes search engine optimization much easier, as you get a lot of power from these back links. Using these Web 2.0 websites and a variety of other link building techniques, you can really make a difference in your rankings.
Some SEO experts use a combination of Web 2.0 back linking, forum profile back linking, press releases, social bookmarking, blog commenting and regular website back links to help rank their website for their chosen terms. Having the most diverse campaign possible is the only winning strategy.
When you go to create and use Web 2.0 websites, be sure to write original content. If your content is in any way, duplicate or unoriginal, Google will be able to tell. It’s possible that you can be penalized for duplicate content, or be sand boxed, or removed from Google’s index altogether. This is definitely not something you want to have happen to you.
Web 2.0 website creation for back linking should be part of any SEO’s toolbox, just be sure to use other methods as well so that everything goes smoothly and so you receive the most benefit for the time you put in.

7 Ways to Build Quality Links to Your Site
An SEO job is never done when it comes to link building. Links constitute the yardstick of a website’s popularity and reputation and link building is a vitally important part of any SEO campaign. Here are 7 simple ways to build quality links to your website and propel your pages to the top of search results for your targeted keywords.
1. Taking an Active Part in Forums and Discussion Groups
Forums and discussion groups in social networks are great places to get links. You can not only air your views and share ideas with the guys who hang out there, but also drop links that lead to your site. As a rule you are officially allowed to put a link in your signature in forums or in the body of your posts in discussion groups.
But never post for links posting’s sake. Make sure you speak to the point of the discussion thread, don’t just drop in saying ‘Hi, guys, want to check out my great site? Click the link below!’
Usually forum members get annoyed with such comments, mark them as spam and you don’t get any kind of feedback. Take active part in discussions, answer the questions, share useful and interesting information – it’s the best way to win popularity and get a substantial flow of traffic to your site.
2 Shape Outstanding Content and Make People Aware of It
Perhaps you have already bumped into this link building tip lots of times. Nevertheless creating appealing content is only half of the job you get to do. No matter how great and compelling your blog posts or articles are, you still need to make them go viral. Only in this way you may heat up the interest to the stuff you created.
In this case blogs, forums and social bookmarking sites can be of great help. Hit these places; make postings in relevant threads, supporting them with the quotations from your articles. Submit your story to social media websites like Digg or Del.icio.us and if the content is really worth reading people will get notice of it and link it for sure.
3 Do link fixing job
Broken links from other pages may hinder your efforts in reaching the top of the search results. The more times a search engine crawler or your visitors reach a broken link (also known as a 404 error page), the more risk of losing the spider or visitor you have.
These broken links may be traced via Google Webmaster Tools. After finding them you’ll have to contact the webmasters of the sites that are linked to yours and ask to do some fixing job. It may be about changing the anchor URLs that will lead visitors to your actual website. Or you can set 301redirect on your own site. Having done that, you not only get credit for your links but also never miss out on your website’s prospective visitors.
4 Links Exchange
One of the easiest and yet most effective ways of link building. There are tons of websites out there whose owners also wish to get more link juice. Then why not play this scratch-my-back-and-I-will-scratch-yours game? Just find relevant sites that are indexed by search engines, check if they have link submission forms and make your offer. But after you got the desired links you’ll have to check whether they stay in place or not. That task is quite labor-intensive and time-consuming, but with one of the best SEO tools for link building and management you can easily crack it.
5 Hold Contests
Get people interested with organizing different contests. Folks are crazy about taking part in them, winning them and buzzing about it to everybody, which in turn means linking to your site. The more creative you are about the concept and the bait the more premium quality links you get.
6 Freebie for everybody!
Got free products, WordPress templates or just some piece of valuable information? Capitalize on it giving it away! Sounds crazy, but it works. Picking up free stuff is so hard to resist. You give people what they want free of charge and the links will follow.
7 Think a Move Ahead
There are lots of attentions grabbing events that happen regularly in every industry. Just think beforehand and catch the early searchers stuffing your site with exclusive information about the ongoing event.
Be the first to get people in the know of what’s coming up and the link flow will follow.

Links, Keywords, and On-Page Search Engine Optimization
There is something that we can do to enhance our on-page SEO. And that is? We can put our main keywords in as a link to another page on our website, or perhaps to another of our own websites if preferred. This is a good way to just give us another notch on our board or however you want to say it – add another point on our score-board.
Let me show you how to put a link in, that will include our desired keywords. Its a fairly simple little piece of coding called html and goes along these lines…
a h r e f = ” w w w. coloradolawfirm.com / colorado-law-firm ” >Colorado lawyer. No need to worry about what it means. Just have a brief look at the make-up and try to work it out that way. The w w w.coloradolawfirm. com is the domain name of our site. The /colorado-law-firm part is the page name or if you prefer – page title. And Colorado lawyer is the keywords we want to use in our link. These are the keywords we are trying to rank for, so there is the first link “to” our site with our chosen keywords. More about this when I discuss off-page SEO – coming up next.
There is another thing to make a quick mention of before I conclude on-page SEO. If you have images on your webpage then its good practice to either pop a link in that image or simply pop the keywords in the image. Make sense?
I don’t mean introduce this text as part of the image, which can then be seen by a website visitor. Rather, introduce this text into the image so that it is not seen by the webpage visitor. There are various ways to do this and it depends on the platform you are using to build your website. So for example, if you are using WordPress.org to build your website, then you would introduce this code in the page html format. It sounds complex I know, but don’t worry about it.

How to Successfully Run Multiple Blogs
I know a lot of you have more than one blog. I have 3 – ok 4 (I am just launching a new one).
Why Do I Have More Than One Blog?
I have read on a fair few blogs now that say the successful bloggers, the ones that are making the big dollars from blogging, are the ones that have multiple blogs.
This got me thinking about what I want from blogging, and you know what? I want to be successful. I want to be able to make a full time income from my blogging and I know that even when this blog gets to a certain level of success, I will still need more to be happy with my blogging income.
Which is why I am looking at really focusing on working on a few of my blogs that are currently very neglected, and also going to start a completely new blog as well.
Now before you get all worried that I will stop posting here, and stop being so active in our great blogging community – I won’t. I have been looking at ways to grow these blogs with as little effort as possible, because I don’t want it affecting this blog at all.
So Here Are A Few Tips On How To Successfully Run Multiple Blogs – Without Neglecting Them
1. Learn Time Management I think that if we all for one day decided to stop and write down where every minute of our day was being spent, we would be shocked at how much of our day was being wasted. Whether it be playing games, checking our emails to many times a day, obsessively checking traffic and affiliate stats, or msn.
What if we could use this time better and start spending it on building our blogs – I wonder how much more successful our blogs would be then!
2. Put A Focus On SEO Traffic This is something I have never done, but something I will be doing from now on. SEO traffic makes sense, because it means you do not have to constantly be looking for new traffic – you already have a steady flow coming from quality keywords/phrases.
With my blogs I will be finding quality keywords and phrases that are search a lot – yet have little competition. If I can write targeted posts to the keywords and phrases, my chances of listing well in the search engines and receiving search engine traffic daily is great. This will especially benefit my other blogs as it means that I will not have to spend much time commenting and marketing the blogs – my main traffic source will be search engine traffic.
3. Take Scheduled Breaks From Your Blogs And Your Computer When you are writing and promoting multiple blogs, writing a couple of posts daily – you are risking the chance of burning out quickly. Something that I am planning on doing starting next week is blogging a 5 day week. Weekends will be personal time, where I do not even turn my computer on. You might think this would be detrimental to my blogs, but I think it will have the opposite affect.I think that with the time away from my blogs and computer on a weekly basis, I will be: * More inspired * Less prone to burnout * More time for friends and family

Four Benefits of Blogging
A blog is a journal that is accessible on the Internet. The process of blog updating is blogging and individuals who maintain them are bloggers. Typically updated daily using various software programs that allow people with little or no technical background to update and maintain them. Also, postings on a blog are set up in chronological order featuring current postings prominently.
The name blog is an abbreviated form of weblog or web log. To write, maintain or to post an article on available blogs is also termed as blogging. They may consist of text, hypertext, pictures and links.
Blogs posted by individuals undergo modifications regularly. These can consist of various topics. In fact, there are blogs for every topic that a human brain can imagine. The topics can range from politics, business, sports, culture, and entertainment to every human-interest story that takes place everyday.
How to get started?
Layout
Web surfers judge the effectiveness of blogs by the type of layout the show. The only difference between a common blog and a professional blog is the layout. Even if it is not high in content, people will think that it is of high quality because of the layout. Moreover, even before they read the content, they will assume the content in it as good, because they are already impressed with the layout. Hence, to get started prepare an impressive layout for your blog.
Promote your blog
People come to know about blogs only when they see them. Therefore, to start promoting your’s, you can include signatures between forums, social networking sites, mailing lists, and other online communities.
Content is your ruler
If individuals perceive blog as a realm, content will be the ruler and bloggers are the king. Content controls every aspect of blogging. People look up for information on the Internet. For that, content to satisfy visitors need is essential. If your’s satisfies their requirements, they might visit it more regularly.
Regular blogging
Make fresh post at regular intervals considering time. It is necessary to post relevant information constantly to keep your blogs updated.
Benefits of Blogging:
1. Video clippings of sport events like football or soccer games, basketball, field and track events are included in blogs by schools to raise school spirit and encourage students’ involvement.
2. Further, events like dance recitals, science fairs, and awards can also be encouraged via blogs.
3. There are some blogs for publishers that are free of charge or are either available at very low-cost. On the other hand, some web sites allow online marketers to post blogs and place a link on their sites.
4. There is a huge potential to market on the Internet through blogging. Out of the estimated 100,000, if it is not possible to grab the attention of every reader, it is certainly feasible to catch the attentions of at least, say 100 readers.
