Why Pay Per Click Programs Are the Easiest Ways to Make Money Online
The easiest way to make money online is when you require very little from your website visitor. For this reason pay per click affiliate programs allow you to make money in the easiest ways.
Let’s talk a little bit about PPC affiliate programs and why they are so easy!
1. Google AdSense is the largest pay per click affiliate program in the world. They pay out hundreds of millions of dollars in commissions every year.
Getting these ads on the webpages is very easy. You paste a small snippet of html code on the page where you want the ads to appear and Google takes care of the rest.
If you are using blogging platforms such as WordPress or Blogger getting the ads onto the page is even easier.
2. The PPC program brings up relevant advertisers and matches it to the content of the page. This makes it attractive for a website visitor to want to click on the ads.
They do all of the selling for you. This just means that you never deal directly with the advertisers in the way. It is a great way for you to sell advertising on your website without doing any of the actual selling.
3. With Google AdSense you can choose different size of ads. You can also change the color scheme and blend those in with the page.
Much as been written about the best way to blend the ads into the page to attract the website visitor to click on them. Google offers tutorials and you can also read many articles online about how to do this.
4. A PPC program is like an internet vending machine. You never earn a lot of money per click, but it can add up over the course of a month.
There are people earning six and seven figure incomes with Google AdSense. They have thousands of web pages in multiple niches earning them clicks on an ongoing basis virtually around the clock
5. Your customer does not have to buy anything for you to earn money. This is what makes this the easiest way to make money online. All your customer does is click on a man and you make money. It does not getting easier than that.
There are many PPC affiliate programs on the Internet today. Google does not allow you to advertise other programs on the same page as them so you want to keep that in mind.

Top Three Reasons Why I Chose DIY Thesis Theme by Chris Pearson For WordPress Blogs
Like so many folks that have decided to start a blog, the choice of which theme I should use was both exciting and challenging. The shear array of themes available made the task daunting. In order to expedite and ease your decision making process, here are three reasons I chose the DIY Thesis Theme.
#1. Ease of Use: The single most important consideration for me was ease of use. As the owner of 3 blogs my experiences with WordPress, using other themes, had been hit and miss. WordPress itself is really easy to get the hang of.
The same cannot be said for all themes.
Unless you are familiar with PHP code, which I am definitely not, changing the look of your theme so that it matches the vision you had for your site can be a task. My experience, until Thesis Theme, was that I was always forced to use someone else’s idea of color selection, or type style, or font size, or column layout – unless I knew code.
With Thesis Theme all of these selections are easily customizable, some directly from the WordPress design tab using the Thesis design panel.
Within a matter of minutes I was able to select the number of columns for my site, the font type and size, width of the columns, selection of right or left content – all with the clean, user friendly design panel.
And when it comes to customizing the theme with your header, graphics, and color choices Thesis cannot be beat. This is due to the extraordinary documentation and support found through the Thesis site and through the user forum. This leads to reason number two.
#2. Support: This might well have been my number one reason. What I found with most themes is that the download file came with a ‘read me’ document (maybe) and little else to guide you through the nuances of the theme and its customization choices.
This is where Thesis flexes its considerable muscle.
The support starts at the page where you download the theme.
If you need to know how to:
Get Started
- Installing and Activating Thesis for the First Time
- How to Set Your Title Tag Structure
- Your Navigation Menu
- Thesis & WordPress Plugins
Use Options-based (Code-free) Design Customizations
- Select a 1, 2, or 3-column Design with the Layout Constructor
- How to Change Fonts and Font Sizes
Use Code-based Design Customizations
- Customizing Thesis with custom.css
- How to Add Custom Backgrounds
- How to Customize Like a Pro with Theme Hooks
- Thesis Hook Reference List
- Thesis Default Hook Usage
All of the answers can be found in the Users Guide at the Thesis Theme website. I have found all of the documentation to be clear and understandable.
However, sometimes you will run across issues that are beyond your scope of knowledge. When you do there is a well attended User Support Forum that is moderated actively.
As of this writing there were over 2360 threads containing more than 12,560 posts. I have found that 9 times out of 10 the answer I need is contained in this forum. When the answer is not found I simply post a new question, and the moderators promptly answer – generally same day.
#3. Trust in the Author: the Thesis Theme was created by Chris Pearson. He is responsible for some of the most popular and wildly successful themes ever created. If you have heard of Cutline or Revolution, two of the most popular themes ever, then you know of his work.
Chris focuses on quality, readability and most importantly the integrity of the actual code. You don’t need to know code or care about code with his theme.
He also understands the importance of SEO and Thesis Theme has all that work covered for you. It is SEO optimized straight out of the ‘box’.
Lastly, I appreciate that he is committed to the product. Since my installation 5 months ago the theme has been updated 4 times, and each time I was notified by email.
There are likely 50 reasons why I like this theme so much. In the interest of your time and attention I will simply suggest that you have a look at the Thesis website. There you will be able to get a complete understanding of all the features. Be sure to check out the Showcase where you can see the great designs that folks have achieved with this fantastic theme.
Spend more time writing posts and less time worrying about your theme!

3 Important Plugins for Your WordPress Blog
Some applications require more oomph than your generic “text widget” for your sidebar. For example, I have a widget for GoodReads, which shows off the books I’ve had published. The code for that widget is in PHP, but a regular text widget won’t parse the information. Or what if you actually want people to be able to follow the links in comments. What can you do? Find a plugin!
Here are three must-haves:
Daiko’s Text Widget
Just about anything you want to do with your blog has a plugin, and one of the most useful I’ve found for adding code that a text widget won’t handle is called Daiko’s Text Widget. Putting in that extra oomph was never so easy. Just copy whatever code you need to include and pop it into a Daiko’s widget and you’re all set.
Do-Follow
In 2006, WordPress decided that blog commenting was a haven for spammers and that so much comment spamming was going on, they programmed an automatic “no follow” into every comment made. Their heart was in the right place, but it stopped comments. People weren’t quite so eager for discussions when they knew they’d get no SEO advantage.
Of course, some comments were still made by avid blog commenters, but the volume was severely diminished. Then, along came the “Do Follow” plugin. Download and install it and search engine spiders will follow the commenter’s URL to the destination of their choice.
So what?
Well, it gives them a one-way link to their website, which is a boost for search engine optimization. The more one-way links a site has, the better it will perform in the results pages and the higher its Google page rank will be, providing the sites the links are from are quality sites. This encourages comments and brings that Web 2.0 spirit into your blogosphere.
When commenting on other blogs, you can tell whether or not they have “DoFollow” installed if you’re using a Firefox browser. The add-on called “Search Status” will highlight all “nofollow” links in pink, making it easy to determine. I’m not saying don’t comment on blogs with “nofollow” tags, but be more aggressive with blogs that do allow spiders to follow your link back to your site.
Google SiteMaps
This plugin automatically creates a sitemap for Google spiders. They can go to your sitemap and instantly see all the pages on your site. Good for SEO? You betcha. The easier you make it for the spiders to get around, the better they like it. Those are just three of the easy plugins for your blog that will help you with SEO, encourage commenting, and make the SE spiders do the happy dance.
These are three of the great plugins you can get for your WordPress blog. I’ll give you a few more in a future article. Be sure to keep reading!
