How I Made My First $100 With CPA
Its been eight years now to my rendezvous with internet marketing. I have seen various trends come and go! While Google AdSense and CJ continue to be the rulers, there are various other earning programs that can help you cash your traffic!
With the web2.0 taking over the conventional website development and promotion strategies, CPA has huge potential.
You can promote email, zip or cell submits which pay up to $3 per action and in some special cases even more.
For example, I have a gaming website and I put a simple banner saying “you could win a free Nintendo Wii console. Enter your email to participate” This simple ad can get me at least 33 leads per day if I have 50 unique visitors to my website! If this offer pays $3 per email submit means I made effortless $99 in a day! It wasn’t more than a month that I managed to hit the $3000 mark.
What I like best about CPA Marketing is that I get a variety of types to promote. Email submit, zip submit, cell submit, registration, first page filled, second page filled, per sale or sometimes even per click!
What I usually do is, choose a niche, setup a wordpress blog and place lots of banner ads in the sidebar and header area and even in the post. I promote different pages of that blog through PPC, which gets me targeted and quality traffic.
If you do not want to get into the hassle of building a blog at all, you can choose a network that allows direct linking to the offer page. Run a PPC campaign and send the traffic directly to the offer page!
Some quick tips:
1. Choose an international affiliate network. US/CA markets are more than saturated now. Pick up a network that can provide you other country options for a quick start.
2. Keep rotating your offers so that you can cash the regular traffic to your website more than once.
3. Do not think that email/zip submits are the only offers you can convert. Try registration and sale, they convert well too!
4. Stay in touch with your affiliate manager. (This is THE mantra if you want to do CPA for a long time)
This has two advantages. One you get to know what’s converting best for other (top) affiliates. Second, you build a good rapport and they will only warn you and never ban you.

What I Learned About Affiliate Marketing
Today I woke up and looked at my email again, just like I do every morning. Of course I have 3-4 email accounts I must check. Most just contain junk, offers from various text ad exchanges, safelists, and opt-ins I signed up for to get that free product that I thought I could not do without. Then I take a look at my Clickbank and PayPal accounts to see if I made any money. A couple bucks…not bad, but not enough to pay all the bills. But it was not so long ago that I checked my accounts and saw nothing, zip, nothing, a big fat zero. The question is: how did I go from making zero to beginning to put my campaigns on autopilot and seeing some real results everyday.
The answer is easy, how I got there is not. I, like you, have bought countless programs and e-books that I thought was going to make me “big” money. Of course they all failed. I spent a lot on those programs, and most just sit on my hard drive. In this fast paced world, I probably will not have the time to look at them again. I am almost disgusted by how much junk I bought, and how much money I wasted on them. SUCKER! That is what I am! But, after enough time in this internet marketing world, I finally learned. I barely spend fifty dollars a month now, all well spent for link-building and traffic. I now make much more than the fifty dollars I spend every month.
Here is the answer to the question above: You must have your own site or blog that YOU can optimize for search engines, and then monetize the way you like. You must also have a tremendous auto-responder system, that will get you money month after month, year after year. These are the key to making wealth on the internet. You may not become one of the “gurus’, but you will make enough to provide a substantial secondary income. You do not need your own product, or spend thousands on programmers. Just some basic programs, and a lot of hard work.
I would recommend setting up your own blog on a place like Blogger, or WordPress, these are free to join, and you can find hundreds of video tutorials for free on YouTube and various other video sites. With WordPress, you can add plug-ins and widgets to add great content and even optimize your site for search engines. You can also monetize your site with Clickbank products, Amazon products, Google AdSense, and so on. Once you master FTP and WordPress, you can then create one site after another.
After you learn about WordPress, plug-ins, widgets, seo, back-links and a couple more important things, you can then concentrate on finding your niche for each site you are about to create. Finding the right niche, and finding the right keyword are the most important part of the process. Everything starts with those two. Once you find a great niche, then you get great keywords, after that comes the WordPress site and plug-ins. Then it is time to start making money. Not right away though. You must get your site listed with search engines, then you must improve your ranking by building back-links. I know this sounds complicated, and some of it is. But you can learn a lot of it by just going to YouTube and searching for things like WordPress, plug-ins, back-links, seo, and so on, and so on.
Do not buy expensive programs that claim to teach you all you need to know to make a million dollars. Most of this process can be learned for free, just take your time an look around, believe me, you will find a lot of great content on the internet.

I can tell you this, plugins are a vital component to WordPress blogs. WordPress is great by itself right out of the box. WordPress is excellent with a few key plugins that extend the funcionality of your blog.
What are those plugins you ask?
Here is a list of plugins, in alphabetical order, that make using your blog and getting visitors to your blog easier.
